The Lothian and Borders Police Pipe Band is a grade one pipe band based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The band's Pipe Major is Ian Duncan, appointed September 2009; the leading drummer is Arthur Cook. The band thrives on youth with many young members. In 2009, the band is scheduled to play at the 5 major championships including the British Championships in Banbridge NI, European Championships in Greenock, Scotland and the World's on Glasgow Green.
The band has a long history, being one of the original civilian pipe bands formed towards the end of the Victorian era, and with a strong history of competition success, from the early days of the Cowal Championship to success under Donald Shaw Ramsay and Ian MacLeod into the 1970s.
